2026 Men's Div 1 Pennant Finals

Sunday May 24^th was the showdown at sun up for Colac & Barwon Heads Div 1 Pennant sides at Lonsdale Links Golf Course.

The course was very well prepared & the weather conditions overcast with a slight breeze, perfect for golf.

A good crowd arrived with the sparrows for the big game. Barwon Heads 4Ball team of Cal Hoffman & Riley Siketta were able to get their heads in front early & with solid golf and ran out winners over Paul Hanson & Xavier Young 5/4.

The next point for Barwon Heads came from Tybin Lawson who with his bro on the bag to read the greens, was able to take full advantage over Sam Rix who was under pressure from the outset.

With all other matches very close, it was game on through the 16^th.

Peter Brooks notched up another win for Barwon Heads on the 18^th after a real tussle with Rhys Tillack.

The 17^th at Lonsdale Links proved to be the tipping point with Craig Corker victorious over Colac’s Scott Lyness & Nick Welsh edging out the Barwon Heads captain Cam Russell.

The other matches went down the 18^th as close as you could expect for a final.

Caleb Perry was going for broke down the last couple of holes but the driver turned unfriendly & Mark Cashinella cashed in as you would expect to win the point for Barwon Heads.

The number 1’s had a see-saw match all day to the entertainment of the large crowd of supporters who witnessed the highs & lows of match play.

Colac’s Hunter Togni was very happy to take the honours over Barwon Heads budding star of Tom Hyland 1 up but Barwon Heads GC ran out victors on the day winning 5/2.
