Born out of Otway Pennant formed in 1978 with participating clubs, Apollo Bay, Birregurra, Colac, Lorne & Beeac, this Shield event was introduced in approximately 1980. 

Event 1 – The Perpetual Otway Shield to be awarded to the Club with the four best Stableford scores over 18 Holes.

Event 2 – Individual Stableford
