2024 SWGA Grants

We will offer two funding rounds per annum. There must be a minimum of two months between the closing date of the application cycle and the commencement date of the funded programme.

Individual funding from $500 minimum to a $5000 maximum

Closing dates (2 times per annum):

  • 15th November 2024

* Applicants will be notified of the result of their application within 4 weeks of the closing date.

Who can apply?:

All Affiliated Golf Clubs of the South Western Golf Association Inc. (SWGA).

Criteria

  • promote golf within your local community?
  • enable instruction, practice and accessibility to junior?
  • enable instruction, practice and accessibility to women golfers?
  • establish and/or bolster a golf program in school(s) around district?
  • establish and/or bolster golfing programmes for people with a disability?
  • establish and/or bolster golfing programmes for any minority or economically disadvantaged groups?

And/or, are you:

  • a golf club with significant financial challenges in meeting the general needs of your course and clubhouse
  • a golf club seeking to expand your equipment to better support development initiatives?

Decision by SWGA

Any decisions on the success of any application made by SWGA  is final and no further correspondence will be entered into” regarding grant selection.

Acknowledging SWGA’s support and promoting successes

Successful applicants need to acknowledge SWGA’s support.

Included within the promotional guidelines, is the requirement that all activities acknowledge SWGA support through logo presentation on any activity-related publications, media releases and promotional material.

Compliance and audit

Applicants are subject to a risk assessment, which verifies an organisation’s legal details provided with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission, Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, Consumer Affairs Victoria and/or other applicable regulator or registrar.

Grant recipients, may be subject to audit by SWGA or its representatives and may be required to produce evidence of how the grant funding was expended. This request may be made for a period of one year after the grant has been approved.

If any information provided in an application is found to be false or misleading, or grants are not applied for the purposes of the applicant in accordance with the terms of funding as set out in these guidelines and the submitted application, the grant will be repayable on demand.
