After a 2 year absence from the SWGA Womens schedule the Mandy Buckley District Foursomes Championship was held on Monday 19thSept at the famous & well- presented 13th Beach Creek Course.

The field was littered with past winners of the SWGA Foursomes & many others  eager to snatch the silverware be it Stroke or be it Nett.

In typical Spring weather 25 pairs from across the district played this challenging format of stroke play where birdies & pars are hard to come by and bogies, multi bogies go rampant &”sorry” just doesn’t cut it.

The local combo of Sue Horne & Allyson Bradman narrowly won the Mandy Buckley Foursomes Championship with a good score of 85 from Torquay’s Kathy Naoumidis & Jenny Cottrill with 86. Ange Foott & Jenny Edmodnson from Portarlington finishing 3rd with 87.

The Foursomes Handicap Salver was won with a very good nett score of 71 by Irene Ramsey, Curlewis & Lesley Richardson from Inverleigh. Londale Links Pair Lynne Toleman & Daelene Crigan were runners-up with a nett 75.

After a 3-way countback 3rd place went to Torquay’s Angela Worthy & Wendy Lawson with nett 76.
